AMRS Swapmeet

Through out the year, AMRS holds special events usually for children. During 2007, we entertained scouts during scouting month in October and our Starlight Christmas party for school children just before Christmas. In January 2008, we entertained well over 250 kids from Arizonans for Kids organization with a picnic. Of course we have all our layouts up with trains running. View pictures of these events by selecting an event from the TOC to the left.

Scouting Month

AMRS Swapmeet

Twice a year in March and October, AMRS holds a swap meet. This year, the March swap meet was held in conjunction with the Maricopa Live Steamers (MLS) "Steam Up". There are many vendors from companies, hobby shops, and individuals ready to sell model railroad and/or railroading related merchandise. Every hour free door prizes are given away. A great time is had by all between rides on trains at MLS, the concession stands, and watching the "smaller" scale trains run on the HO, N, & G scale layouts. Below are some pictures of the March '08 swap meet.
